Two ethereal jesters descend from a crescent moon and explore the land. Dressed in plastics, these contemporary incarnations of Pierrot display a gentle curiosity, transforming from playful animals to natives in a series of teasing vignettes exploring themes of romance and modernity. With a whimsical old-time mood, this reverie features gypsy-swing jazz duo So Ma Fan as live accompaniment.

Pierrot and Pierrette, the whimsical, forlorn mime lovers of European yore, act as unlikely teachers, silently interacting and guiding seated audience through a magical, enigmatic wish-making ritual. With balloons, strangers and the moon in our midst, clowns and humans get in touch with the universe together.
