Many were undocumented. In the late 80s, Roy started busking in Lido Underpass at Orchard Road and has busked in various locations there as well as on Waterloo Street (now defunct).
Note: Unfortunately there are imitations of Roy out there, sometimes plying their trade with his name, but well, imitation is the best form of flattery, and what can a clown do.
